2019 Peterbilt 579 with a Paccar MX13 , 550k miles - it drives, but you have no idea if it has any major issues, where it came from and how well it was taken care of

2018 Freightliner Cascadia with a Detroit dd13 or 15 , 650k miles, you know the company that owned it before and the actual driver. No major issues, and you know it was well taken care of.

Both going for the same price... which one would you choose and why?

My co truck is a 579 with the paccar. Has never completely broken down, but keep getting check engine lights for clogged injectors. It's been in the shop 3 times. 2022 got it with 96000 miles, now 240000. You don't say what the other truck has.

Doesn't matter to me, it is what meets my standards that matters. the Pete would be a hard sell for a lot of reasons, one is a lack of dealer support and the other is the uptime, I am not sold on the uptime of a PACCAR.
