Just started with Total transportation of Mississippi. Recruiters promised me 2500 miles 1200$ a week before taxes. So far my best week has been 700$. I’m litterally drowning in debt from the time I took off for cdl school and the first couple weeks of making only a few hundred. I’m averaging 1500-1800 miles at .41 cents a mile. I hear some many people including friends telling me they are already making 1300+ a week as a rookie. I don’t mind living in the truck and I never take home time I can’t afford it. I just need some #### money. This company blows. Fleet manager try’s to screw me on detention/layover pay. Says stuff like I’ll get you next time. Or I gave you detention last time…. My truck is old and smells like cigarettes, no apu, no opti idle, no idling unless freezing outside. Inverter can hardly run a microwave. anyone know of a place I can make decent money as a rookie and not be treated like this. Honestly, all I’m looking for is 1000$ take home. 3 months otr experience.
I think the problem is, you're pulling dry vans. ~ Do you still live in Florida? Florida pet friendly
No, I went in blind . You hear people say truckers make big bucks. Never thought I’d be making less than the county job I had in Florida.
Here's one that requires 3 mos. experience for Florida drivers. Over-the-Road Class-A CDL Company Driver - KLLM Transport Services
Sorry, I forgot to mention cool thanks I’m going to give them call now. 55c seems reasonable. This 41c isn’t working out. Let me know if you got any other ones thanks a lot china
