    Weight all to one side and WAY overloaded. Look at the 5th wheel, its buckled upwards. My guess is all that weight and side torque basically ripped the kingpin through the jaws and/or the jaws themselves through said plate.

    Didn’t have it latched. Came off fifth wheel on low side with legs up. Very top heavy with down hill momentum.
