    Hi All-
Way back on page 21 or 22.....I read a post that Stevens has a training facility in Houston. I looked at their website but couldn't find any info on it, is there really one there? I live in the Houston area and plan on obtaining my CDL from a local community college here and after that I'm looking at either Stevens, Swift or Averitt.

Stevens is having a hiring event at Workforce Solutions, 9315 Stella Link - 77025 # 3 tomorrow. I applied online several weeks ago, and the recruiter emailed me, telling me to attend a hiring event listed in the Greensheet. There have been no events listed in the Greensheet since that time. I'm guessing that freight is about to pickup, so they need drivers now. I think they train at HCC (?).
    I'll be there.

A local advertising paper. They're everywhere in the Southeast Texas region.

well I knew it would happen eventually. Got my next load. Pick up at Pepsi in Mesquite, bring it to the yard.
DM says I have two pages of 'stuff' to get done.
Was hoping to get sent back north to some reasonable temps. My AC can only keep my sleeper down to around 80 in this heat.
Who pissed God off that he cursed this part of the country?

The guy who decided to have a Trucking company in Texas and paint his comany trucks dark blue and his lease trucks black. Not the smartest move.

Hey Drivers!.... need some advice from the experienced Stevens drivers... so as I been on this thread a few months I try to keep up with everything.

I am scheduled to be in Dallas on the 23rd. I am going to move it to the following week though. But I am just a bit nervous here. I have driven before but my question is with the work history. I had to have about 5 letters made from people I did websites for (part-time gig) write letters saying I worked for them and was paid cash. They are going verify the letters they said by thursday. I am pushing the issue that everything is verified BEFORE I go to dallas. now, if they say the letters are not good enough and Im in Dallas... what happens? do I have to pay my own way home?
