How to Refuse a Police Search

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqMjMPlXzdA&feature=channel

Get tough and tell the police officer(s) to obey the law of the land.

That means your _Constitutional_ *RIGHTS*, by law.

Read them; they are important and you probably were never informed of them when you were in High school, unless you actually studied US history.

Also remember, since driving is not a *RIGHT* under US law, some of this information will not apply to you as a commercial driver, driving a rig for a living, but some of this is quite accurate.

As always, dont say anymore then you need to, when dealing with _ANY_ law-enforcement officer(s) at all. The result could mean lots of $$$, and/or your very freedoms!

    This is not accurate.

Probable cause would suggest that he could search the vehicle, and if he refused a search, they would likely bring a police dog and when/if the dog signaled on the marijuana then they would search it anyway. Then he would be really screwed.

So, listen to the ACLU and tell the cops to go to hell and wee what happens.

How about this??? DON'T BREAK THE LAW!

I have refused a search before. This is how it went down. Got pulled over, asked if they could search my truck, I said no, they put me in handcuffs and detained me in the back of cop car. Went in my truck, woke up my wife, had her stand on the side of the road in her pajamas and they searched the truck. They said I was suspicious so that gave them reason to search. After they searched the whole truck and trailer, they found nothing, uncuffed me and told us to have a nice day.

So that is how you refuse a search in the USSR I mean USA!

I refused a search in my senior year of high school. I got pulled over for a busted headlight, which I had an accident report for and gave him, so I was legal to not have a headlight as long as I got it fixed in a reasonable amount of time.

The cop said "while im here do you mind if I do a quick search of your vehicle?" I did have pot on me but I had not smoked any so I knew he had no probable cause. I just told him I was running late and in a hurry and that it was a violation of my 4th amendment. He told me my pupils looked dialated (it was night time). I said isnt that what your pupils are supposed to do when its dark? He said okay have a good night.
And because of that I still have a clean record as an adult

I have refused searches before and got out of a speeding ticket before cause the officer failed to provide evidence that I have speed through that area. One of the benifits of hanging around cops while growing up.

Why hide anything from the police in the first place? Whats wrong with being honest and respectful when dealing with a cop?

You think politicians are the only corrupt people with power?

Lots of cops have big egos and will try to scare you into allowing a search.

You may think you have nothing to hide, but if you are found to have something, you just gave your 4th amendment rights away to the police, who can now use it in court against you.

Just say NO to a search and you dont need explain yourself. Shut up and and demand to have your attorney available.
