My trainer had one on his truck, it was nice to be able to hear a message when in came in and not have to pull over to read it. Your right about the abbreviations messing her up, I always laughed every time the message said co-driver she would read it as Colorado Driver!...............lol

:biggrin_25526:We had one on our truck. Yes her voice is annoying and yes you can turn her off. You go to the settings menu. 1st if you do not want her to talk DO NOT PUSH the button with the head on it at the top left corner of the unit. But you can go to the settings menu and turn the thing off or turn the sound down. She was getting on my nerves. So I fiddled with it until I figured it out. No she does not tell you what your messages say only that you have one. But when you start to get close to running out of hours then she will not shut up.

You just have to select the message to have it read to you... the screen that shows the message text, with the volume turned up.

Had one in my Prime truck. You can navigate the messages with the dash buttons. I'm just not convinced I want more holes drilled in my dash. They'll have to drag me kicking and screaming to install one in this truck. I've seen where they've been installing some of them. I don't want that distraction.

The only good thing about it was not pulling over to read messages...but Prime has all their QCs opened for use while moving. Not that I would ever use a QC while in motion.....

The one that I had in my SNI truck, you could select messages, but it would still not tell you what you have while driving. She would not even talk to you. But then, I had a old truck, but the new QC.

Per the Lancaster terminal manager during a lunchtime meet and greet. All trucks 08 and newer will have the new Q/C replaced asap. They will NOT ask you to get rid of or remove your TRUCKER gps from the truck. They will ask that you no longer use a gps or program that is not truck friendly.

    Injun and hunnerbunner Thank this.

The so-called "truck friendly" GPSs are just as liable to route you over a weight-restricted bridge or a under a low overpass as anything else. A friend's trucker-friendly Garmin always tries to run him up I75 throught the middle of Atlanta...
