I been home for awhile waiting for a truck. (swift). Is there away l can log these days on one log sheet, our do I have to waste ten sheets of paper logging off duty not driving-?
It is permissible to log more than one day on a single sheet in a situation like yours. Fill the sheet out as you would for one day, just enter the range of days rather than a single day, eg., June 2-8. If the range of days crosses over into the next month, complete a separate sheet for each month, eg. May 27-31 and another for the days in June. Unless your company has a policy directing you otherwise.
Well see the problem with that is, there is columns that the date has to be put in for it to scan. So there is no way I can put multiple days in there. Should those days go under the flag?
Legaly, according to FMCSA, you can log multiple days OFF DUTY on one single log. I've no clue about Swifts requirements tho.
if your log books get scanned--then i think you have to fill out a page for each day your sitting at home anyways--only going to take 3 minutes
I drive for Swift and do multiple day off logs all the time. The log date is the first day off. Fill out the 7 day recap for that day. Fill out the multiple day off box with the number of day's off. under remarks I put Off Duty (location) and the dates, ie 6-6, 6-7, etc. I don't cross months on the same log page. It used to cause problems under the old log books.
