Was this accident close to Ohio line? I came thru last night. There was piles of something underneath an overpass. I was watching out other side and saw them last minute. The smell was horrible. I thought a trash truck crashed. Whatever it was, it was left in piles to clean up later. I would hope they wouldn't leave dead cattle piles laying around.
To anyone who goes to the JBS plant in Marshalltown, IA. They wash out your trailer there. even if you have had it washed prior to ariving. the scale house will send you there to get it done and a trailer inspection. Sat for 12 hours waiting for product, could be worse places i guess. Dention pay.
Yeah that's the place, they just left the cattle in piles to be picked up later.........................
DocHoliday asked me to pass along a message to anybody who mailed him wanting the info..................he didn't have a signal last night so he will send them tonight.
I will be going back thru there in a few hours(lucky me)back to Jersey. Hopefully they cleaned it up by now. If not, Im stopping and running across median to take pics(while puking of course) That would be a good conversation starter. "Hey guys, you ever see a pile of torn up cattle carcasses?"
Thats interesting, been driving for 32yrs.but have been short haul, regional, local for the last 11yrs.plus last year off from a rotator cuff injury. was told by julie that i will be at the .40 cent a mile but would have to go with a trainer for 8 weeks at $300.00 a week.Told her i don't think that will happen not when i have bills to pay. at $300.00 a week even a newbie would have a hard time living on the road let alone making payments for your home and such.
FYI, When I deliver this load on Monday that will give me 3,201 miles for the week since I came back from hometime last Tuesday
95% of the meat places you go to will have on site washouts. Havent been to the Louisville one tho I've been to both of the others. Marshalltown is real picky and if any of your walls are ripped, you'll have to get it repaired first.
