We just switched over to Verizon and got Android HTC Incredible 2 phones. Im new to the "smart phone" game so I still have questions.

They showed me how to tether the laptop and phone. How well will this work on the road? We have unlimited data and they claim they wont throttle back on me. Currently I have Clear with works great as long as I get signal but that isnt very often.

One other question concerning apps. I have d/l'ed Rainy Days and the apps for the major truck stops. I will be d/l'ing Truck and Travel(?) when I get my wifes CC number from her. Any other good apps that I should look into?

If your not paying for the tethering service they will either begin to charge you for it or cancel your service.

Download pda net application while your on wifi usage and it will allow you to tether and hide the tethering usage so they won't know.

    Yup Thanks this.

Same phone here. I use PDANet to tether to the laptop and it works great 99% of the time! The 1% would be in areas where cell service is weak to begin with...parts of Wyoming, Montana...etc. Able to use services like Hulu with very little issue.:yes2557:

I also use the Android phone with PDANET and in areas that your network is not available with Verizon you can also choose to use other networks with a setting in the phone. I have not had issues with additional charges for using roaming data as yet so I am guessing it is part of the plan. It also helps when I leave the network and am using google navigation; fewer breaks in service and lost routes.

Yes you can. I like the HTC phones myself. I have ATT but they are the same phones that sprint offers.
