I'd like to call it a scam because it's cheap to make and it's expensive and you probably need to buy another any time soon.

The truck stop pocket guide is so fragile, I swear the manufacturer is trying to make a huge profit because of it.
It's a nice tactic too, because it is somewhere like $5 a piece and they use cheap grade paper to make and weak glue to put the pages together, I bet 90% of you who have this pocket guide falling apart in less than a month, I know I did, and I already bought another one and I already have it tear apart in less than a month and I'm not gonna buy another.

spend twice the money, get a full size one, and it will last longer than some truckstops will stay in business!

I carried all he major truckstop chains free directories along with a cat scale and TripPak directory and I about had them all covered.

The TripPak one is pretty good.

PM me your address and I'll send them to you. I don't need them anymore. I have the hard to get Pilot one too.

    I don't think its a scam.

Whether or not this is their intention, by the time our book gets worn out, its time to buy a new one anyways so we have up to date information about all the new truckstops.

Our newest book we bought like six months ago had all the rest areas included whereas the one before, did not.

Besides, a little packing tape here and there will make that book last even longer. A little ingenuity goes along way.

Which apps do you use and recommend? All I have is the Loves app and the Trucker Net app. Hopefully someday Pilot will make an app for Android users.

The Loves app is pretty nice but it ticked me off about a month ago. I saw that I had a shower on my rewards card and went in to redeem it and apparently I didn't have a shower credit..... I had to use my points to pay for it.

The Trucker Net app is good for finding TA's and Petro's, along with repair shops like Detroit but that's it. It doesn't mention anything about the amenities at the truckstops, just where they are near you.

My GPS locates truckstops in the POI menu.

What do you have, a trucker gps that shows all the truckstops and travel centers? My car gps only shows the big-name stops like Loves, Pilot, TA, Petro and some Sapp Brothers. It will find some ma and pop truckstops, but only a few.

I have the Love's one the CAT SCALE one and If you search Pilot Travel centers (iPhone apps) you get it for both Pilot and Flying J...
actually though I find the Cat Scale one the best and it can go into your maps and gps you right to it too..and it also shows any and all places that have a cat scale be it a major chain or a mom and pop place

    Truckster

Great app for Android with Walmarts, Weigh Stations, CAT Scales, TriPak and Transflo in addition to truck stops.
