What do you mean by this? It's a FMCSR reg. You're allowed to drive off duty all you want, provided you aren't laden and you're driving away from a shipper. EOBR's aren't meant to add more regs. They are meant to enforce the ones already there.

And I do agree that they aren't perfect, but if you run legal and you're computer friendly, they are a god sent. I actually prefer to run with EOBR's instead of paper.

Not going to get into this discussion again.

All I was referring to is a standardization of the way the companies will have to have the eobrs at.

The standardization is listed on part 395.11, 395.15 and 395.16. EOBR's aren't new technology. They've been out for a while.

Yet one company allows the movement of the truck and another allows none.

    Pretty standardized.:biggrin_2559:

That's company policy, not FMCSR regs. There is a difference. Like I noted, do some homework before driving for a company with EOBR's. Some companies have the dumbest policies you would ever think of.

    Like I stated.

Look for the FMCSA to get more involved on this in order to standardize the units under their guideance and remove the company policy.

    THBatMan8 Thanks this.

Ahh, I misinterpeted what you stated. Yeah, I would hope they would get more involved with this as some companies like to think they are above the FMCSA.

I cant believe you just said that really.Thats what trip planning is.LOL,THAT STATEMENT PRETTY MUCH EXPLAINS IT.What you were going to drive a 100 miles in that half hr.And you couldnt have made that up the next day after your break.Really.You stop a half hr. early so you dont run over your eleven when you get to that truckstop and there is no parking.Oh,never mind your that driver that parks on the shoulder,or in the middle of the truckstop because you didnt trip plan properly, lmao. What a statement.
