The guy sounds desperate for money... Imagine his disappointment on Friday of Orientation.

Then we get to hear the complaints. Then the trolls around here start in on how Prime screwed the guy. When really he was given bad info from one of us.

They haven't changed a thing. Did some runs up there around Thanksgiving and not only is it a pain, no detention either, when they were 7 hours late loading the trailer which precluded delivering to the 02 because of a noise ordinance. That cost me another 10 hrs. :biggrin_25516:

I will make it through orientation without the advance. I really didn't expect to get money handed to me without working for it first. That would really put Prime as a company in debt because people don't do right.

    10-4.

Didn't want you to be disappointed... You could have put yourself in a bind thinking that money would be there on Friday.

I thought things through fully and I will more than likely just start in the Summer. I need to get myself back together. It would be very stupid for me to travel with no funds. I know I can make it through orientation, but driving on the road with no funds is crazy. I will need an atlas, GPS, food money, and all sorts of other expense money including laundry money. Trucking isn't a cheap occupation I see when it comes to cost of living. I should have done more research befpre I quit my nice office job to get my CDL. That is my only regret.

You'd be surprised how little it takes to "live on" as long as you stay out of the truck stops.

JCW "lives" on less than $75/week. And that includes his nicotine habit.

So, let me get this clarified for myself - since I will be coming in as a PSD (Don't have my CDL before I arrive), then that would make me eligible for the 200 a week advance until I make my CDL and then become a B Seat driver?

I think that is how I understood Sheryl when she was talking to me last...
