That could be part of it. But I know they are already booking people for March and April classes so...

KLLM does not have a school so if you were going to Athens Tech for CDL training, that would work.

The rest of my family pulls reefers and they all get good miles. There are times when you are sitting and you deal with lumpers more, but reefers run consistently year round.

I think tech school is probably my best option for now. It won't cost me anything and I won't owe anyone anything after I finish. I don't know much about Auto Zone but they do come to Athens Tech looking to hire CDL grads. They run out of Lavonia which is close to me. They have nice looking equipment too. I see them running down I-85 all the time. That might be an option.

If you can get on with Auto Zone I would do it. They will probably require haz mat. Smaller dedicated accounts like that are good places to work.

I KNEW someone was 'stalking'! I could FEEL it!!! Everyone is blackballing me. THAT'S why I can get a job. These companies ' got it in for me'. I'm now on their 'secret list'. Like a DAC report that can only be viewed by recruiters. It's all AT's fault. I think he's a double agent! :biggrin_25523:

Yeah I saw where you were given the parting line from W/S. Sorry to hear about that.

Yes they require haz mat. They probably have good benefits too.

If I'm not mistaken autozone is a dedicated account through ups freight so if you can get on there that would be a good place to start. I know when i use to deliver to autozone in Lavonia all the trucks there had operated by ups freight in small letters on the sleeper.
