Congratulations! Best of luck, and let me know how it's going once your fully up and running. Are you an approved carrier or an O/O for them?

I am an O/O with Landstar now.... as for Pape it was a good company and very nice people. Things just did not mesh too well with me and the way they do things there. Chris is a good guy and I have nothing bad to say about them at all. Just didn't work out for me is all.

Let the man be. He's not responsible for answering to you. If he wants to change companies every 30 days it's his perogative....not smart, but his perogative nonetheless.:biggrin_255:

Hey now, don't you go stealing MY gig. It took a lot of hard word, to not work, as much as I do:biggrin_2559:

^ That's funny right there... One would think with all the cheap freight that you'd have to work twice as hard.

No, I let the ones that don't know any better haul that junk. Then I pounce on the high dollar stuff. Instead of working 4 weeks a month, I try to work two and make the same as the sucker working four, with far less wear and tear.

    LSAgentOZR and sixpackbill Thank this.

That is my plan, and hopefully it will be a little easier for me being the area I live.

lsagentozr, i aint bothering the man. i simply stated a fact. i have read the forums for quite a while. the gentleman has over the course of time had several gigs over this time. he has also stated several times how wonderful all these places have been. the fact is , it cost revenue to change gigs so often.

he also has posted this on public forum for all to see, if one doesnt want comments, dont post on open forum.

in fact, when he decided on pape , i thought he would be better off with landstar or even mercer for that matter, as mercer has a ton of loads in the chicago area.

as about any day of the week you can do loads for 2.50 a mile and up, and even more for shorter hauls.

but i stated a fact as appeared to me from what i have read on the forums here, if i had lied it would be another.

    kwswan Thanks this.
