Dujo is correct. Archie can right a credit, so can bonnie. I asked for and received an itemized list and did question some of the charges. I got a few of them removed. But I plan on the maintenance account to be gone on a lease turn in.

Dujo did you buy your actual lease truck? And if you did, was your maintenance account wiped out?

Thank you, but your 'holier/smarter than thou' attitude does not apply here. I read and understood the contract BEFORE I signed it. I reviewed it with the 'itemized' list that was sent by email. (this list merely contained part numbers and 'item' numbers, so a call was made to Alliance maintenance for a somewhat better breakdown, still waiting on the itemized statement that was prepared by the adjusters.) I have made phone calls and it is being looked into. I do not fall into the 'poor, dumb, uneducated trucker' category that Stevens attempts to lump us all into.

And, yes, this is the 2nd LTI that just happened to 'eat' all the maintenance account except for $500. The first was a truck that was about ready to be sold, so expected a high turn-in cost, not so with this one.

I hear ya. There is a big difference between reading / understanding the contract and getting hit with charges you know nothing about without a list of those items.

I myself read my contract several times, and had OOIDA read it and go over it with me before signing. But things like what your saying there do scare me.

    Speaking of roll overs...
Passed a Stevens truck on 287 about 5 miles south of Hugo. The truck was probably tired, as it was laying on it's side taking a nap. :biggrin_2557:
Looks like the driver fell asleep, crossed the lanes and hit the shoulder on the west side (he was north bound). No skid marks, dry pavement, happened in morning but was light out. I passed about a half hour after the incident.
Got message on QC...Drivers, be aware! Fog, icy conditions on 287..
Think the driver may have given them another story?

Now sitting in Denver. Load delivers tomorrow night. <sigh!>
This place (the TA) is packed. I was lucky another truck pulled out in front of me.
    Stay safe everyone.

I'm chasing you Emu, but I'm taking the long route to avoid a weather shutdown...OKC-Liberal-stairsteping to Limon. I'm hoping that Ill be able to swing around this snow system before it t-bones me in W. OK/KS. It'll be close, and I have to stop in Liberal for my break, so we'll see.

    Stay safe.

Any advice for me, I am going to meet with the Stevens recruiter tomorrow and if all goes well I should have an answer for training at least sometime this week.

I want this career change more than I ever thought I did.

I took the long route just for something different. Thru OKC, over and above the panhandle of TX, then into central KS. Came thru Dodge City.
Spent the night last night in Garden City.
Now I just get to wait...wait...wait...

From what they are saying their 'interpretation' about usual wear & tear and most 'normal' people's interpretation is totally different, LOL.

Usual wear and tear to them means new condition. :biggrin_2559:
