We finally made it all the way to California! Now we are headed back east. Lets see if we do a triangle back up to mid west then back toward the west on 80 again. Lol
And of course as soon as I said that I have been pretty busy it becomes time to go to the Freightliner shop. Yesterday I got loaded with +44k lbs of bacon from the Kraft plant in Nowheresville, OH and couldn't shift my fifth wheel to get some weight off the back. Drives and trailer weighed 68,320. the pins for the fifth wheel aren't releasing and I can't get that plate to move an inch. hooray for automatic releases! Also, while doing a pretrip this morning I found the beginnings of a crack in my exhaust line behind the cab. Im hoping that this doesn't turn into an all day affair and I can get back out on the road quickly.
Man that's alot of swine, has freight picked up to where you're averaging more than 2k miles per week?
You could be like me, heading to Denver in 2 days then to Albuquerque, El Paso to PA, VA to Mid Texas, Dallas to Seattle, I will at least wave to ya, lol
See if your dispatcher will plan you out for a load or 2, as I self dispatch. Landstar we book our wn loads, I keep myself planned out a week or so.
And I am sure I can visit. Getting to be the time to put my grill back on the truck. 34 hour restart, and grillin steaks in front of truck, havin a relaxin time chilling with drivers.
I normally keep some fillets in the fridge just for that, place them in a ziplock and let them marinate as I go down the road, so when I stop it is Grillin time.
