I just upgraded the CB in my 4 wheeler. Retired the Grant LT to a nice base station rig and put a new Uniden 880 in the truck. Only had it 2 days but so far so good.. this radio looks amazing!:biggrin_25514:

Me too.... that's why i could not bear to get rid of it and made it my base station. I bought my LT new in 1999 and have been running it in every rig i owned till last week

A few people have told me that you never wanna use a mobile radio for a base station... Well with a good base antenna this radio rocks!:biggrin_25525:

I am also starting to really love my 880.. this radio is just pain cool! I am excited to see the wireless mic that they are coming out with this year.. anyone know a time frame of when in 2012? :mconfused:

I am waiting on the side band edition to come out first and hoping to see what can be done to it before getting one.

I was gonna wait for the side band model to come out but, then i sat here and thought....

i have owned a Uniden LT for about 13 years now and i have NEVER used the side bands... so i just went and pulled the trigger on the 880 and so far its great.

The mods i seen so far for the 880 are an echo board (I personally think there stupid) and a RFX-75 :biggrin_25524:

I noticed Sparky's is not showing the digital series on their site yet. Are they just selling the older series until they are out of stock or???

I agree, not interested in the echo boards.

I think I read that Doug has figured out how to do his receive upgrade on it. The RFX is nice but I just need enough juice to push a box if I need a little extra.
