it's not the old guys who is the cause of these e logs; it's WERNER. they started this years ago & DOT liked it, so they went with it. then the insurance companies saw it & liked it. God only knows what the FMCSA thinks of it. trucking is NOT what it used to be

Good news guys! I am cleared to come back to work. It only took 15 days 22 hours 10 minutes 10 seconds:biggrin_25511:. Now I still have to wait until some time tomorrow to see if I get a different truck or a ride back to mine. Fingers crossed it's back to mine since I still have stuff in it.

    Noggin Thanks this.

what happen, don't count your chickens getting your stuff back, when i came back too get my truck , from a work injury ,not this company, but anthor, they said it was in Georgia with anthor driver, i waited anthor 2 weeks for my truck , when i did get into it ,all my food was gone, it was thrashed, tv broke , , driver got mad and quit and took his anger out on my stuff. leason learn 'ed, take stuff out when you leave any truck.

The only stuff I had left in it was shower stuff. Nothing to important that if lost or stolen or damaged I couldn't replace it. Just hope it's still there. It was towed to a "reputable" and secured lot. We shall see. Hell even the tanks could be empty, who knows!

Swamp coolers would put way too much moisture in the enclosed area. Im good, I run my fan. But when its 90 something, oh yeah Im running the a/c. As for elogs, we use paper, so I dont know or need to know anything about them. Im down for my 10 on an on ramp for I77 s in Ohio. I ran outta hours and couldnt find anywhere to park. As long as the lawman dont bother me, I think Im in a good spot. I wanted to park at the rest area at the 85 mile marker, its on the map, but it aint on the ground??? Ive gotta load of polished steel rod headed to north carolina. Hopecully they'll keep me kinda close to the house until the weekend. Yall be safe.

As for Werner and elogs, dont be too hard on those crappy companies. Remember, its the bad companies that make us look so much better.

are there any good trucking companies left. the more I read the more I get confused about the industry. I am in school right now and am wondering if I made a mistake. I wanted to drive a truck forever. I am 48 and work in a dying industry. work 7 to 3:30 M-F make 42000 a year. Not sure if the job would last Til I retire. so thats when I started the process of learning to Drive. I just hope its not as bad as some on the stories on this site

Guy, you sound the same way I did before I went down this road. Im sure every trucking company out there is fine. No matter which company, thefes gonna be people crying about how nad they are. If a company has 2,000 plus drivers, you know they all cant hate working there. My best advice is go with a company that peaks your intrest. Just my advice.
