If anyone knows ND Energy Systems out of New Town let me know if it is a good company. I Talked to Craig a couple days ago and he has 3 trucks and they haul crude. He has his own living quarters, but no benefits. I was up there 3 weeks ago and was offered a job cementing with Sanjel. I just got my hazmat TSA reults back and adding it on next week with doubles and triples , and allready have my tanker. Just sent Falco my resume and going to fill out an app tonight, but it looks like they want tanker experience which I don't have. I have drove loads gross at 94,500 with pusher axels in winter conditions and offroad, just no tanker exp. Any suggestions, I just want to haul crude.
I wouldn't go to work for anyone with only 3 trucks. They can't own their work, they must be owner ops. Falco is a good company to haul crude for if they'd take you. Sanjel is a good foot in the door to the oil industry. If you can get experience there you can get much better jobs down the road. Sanjel is a good job...but it won't pay as good as hauling crude.
I have my class a, tanker, hazmat, doubles/triples...seems as though the job listings are calling for two years Tanker exp all of a sudden when 6 or 7 months back everyone was saying 'will train' ...any advice or tips on what kind of jobs, or companies I can go about applying for that WILL train? I'll take just about anything to get my foot in the door. I have 3 yrs driving experience and would eventually like to haul crude. Any advice In the right direction would be helpful. Thanks.
you could try to find a job hauling water, that will give you the tanker xp. Then after a few months start to apply for a crude job, as the winter comes around more jobs will prolly open up.
So I got a story for ya guy that is pullin tankers in mn was out in Nodak pullin crude He was a driver that was leased on to MBI.So one day they are pullin 105,000 no big deal well theres this bridge up there 5ton limit with the dot right on the other side just waiting to write tickets. You want to know what MBI said to do, yep run it no permits and pay your fines or leave. Well thats what happened, he said there is money to be made hand over fist however.
You've got mail! Apologies on the slow reply, been out of town recruiting for the last week. I don't get to go out and do that much anymore... I handle more advertising now, so it's nice to get out and do that occasionally!
