Have you tryed updating your printers driver? And as far as wirelees card it is most likey your firewall. Try your router. If you do wipe it clean and recover with xp, just make sure you have all the add/remove software for
your printer and pc card. I tossed mine and had to buy a new printer/ scaner and for some reason i had to get a new auido and video cards for the vaio when i stalled xp because it could not find the drivers for either, and i could not find them on the net (first time cnet has let me down).
The guy at best buy told me you should not have bought a vaio with vista if you were going to install xp. Now you tell me. The printer was my falt but the rest i blame on sony and microsoft.. good luck.

Ps. $20 dollars is cheap for pc miler i'd be a little weary, I have heard it as high as $200 and never lower then $50(i'm glad i got mine for free)

Oh yeah, I still have all the software. Everything is pretty new so I even know where it is all hiding at home or in my truck LOL.

Wanna sell a copy of that PC MILER? :biggrin_25525:

Remember that if you right click (thats the odd side) on the icon for the start up of any program, there is a run as administrator option. This clears up almost ALL problems with Vista. Why should you have too? I dont know! Same reason Streets and Trips is so Frikin confusing. I am pretty good with computers. Actually I am certified! And after 10mins of looking around it, I just exit out and go to google maps. LOL

Or you could dual boot with Vista and use it here and there until you get used to it. I think Vista is only good for people who really know how to "tweak" their computer like I do - getting rid of all the stupid new "do you really want to do this" crap and running as a REAL administrator (which isn't easy to figure out, either). I've been using it for four months now and have no problems with it. I do have 2 gigs of ram, though. Would never run it with less.

You can partition your hard drive with Vista easily enough - then install XP as well then you have the best of both worlds :)

PC Miler sucks, IMHO. It gives you the most indirect, weird routes I've ever used AND if you don't know the EXACT street address, it won't work.

With Google maps, I can use it to get from city to city without a specific address when I need to.

To each his/her own, though. I have PC Miler if you want it, just PM me your address and I'll send it to you. I hate it LOL
