I got "encouraged" to del my current load ASAP (safe and legal of course) so I can get on to my next one. I updated my PTA by four hours earlier and asked about a preplan.
    Reply: no plan yet

I get a kick out of these guys sometimes. I know they try but I only drove 10 hr.s and 45 minutes today. What more do they want :)

The other 15 minutes you shorted them.

They tell me once I see my pay from running this Wal-Mart stuff I may consider how much I hate doing it. I don't really hate it, I just hate New Jersey. That is definitely a place not made for trucks.

Yesterday, I get to one and didn't know ahead of time I was to pull up into a truck only lane and wait for a large door to open up, then carefully turn right into the underground dock. I did make it,though, but I was sweating bullets for a couple minutes.

I am making some money every day which is more than I can say about running regular Shaffer loads. I'm just trying to do my time until I can "upgrade" to pulling Crete dry vans. The word is I would have to quit and be rehired to do that.

High end motorsports? They sell them for about that price ($30-50).

I sat for 30 hours waiting for a load at the Wal-Mart DC, from 1am two nights earlier until 7am this morning. I finally get a 220 mile 2 stopper, and the lady at the window tells me its been sitting on the yard since yesterday afternoon. So I'm out one full day of productivity, which amounts to about $150.

The load plans are downright stupid. Crete's info will say deliver by 2359 tomorrow night, but Wal-Mart will have the drop dead time as 2200 tonight. I do my loaded call and put my pta as, say 0800 tomorrow, and of course it gets rejected because the Crete time has deliver by at the end of the next night, not the day its actually due to be delivered.

I thought I had read someone say they could see their Crete safety points on the company site? Where do I look. I browsed around that ESS site on "work profile", "HR", and the other subheadings but couldn't find it. Thanks

log in to their website and hit the payroll and then the trip sheets and then the driver monthly mile report and shazom you get your monthly report and your safety points.
I spent quite the day here at Minooka, 10 dollar buckets, sweech, I bet they had the race on Sunday too, they had the replay on today and it was awesome. Not that's theres anything wrong with that.
Anyone else have Kenny for their ### MAN?

Take the Defensive Driving Training/Safety meeting somewhere. It should be arranged through your Driver/Terminal Manager. Not bad...kinda fun and you get a free lunch.;-)
