Try running your VIN number on this site. It tells a lot of information on the vehicle. I'm not sure if it tells actual manufacturing date or not. It will tell what plant is was made at, engine, transmisson, GVWR etc. I use this quite often, but never looked to see what month vehicle was manufactured.

Meanwhile someone drives by in a 4 wheeler with no steering wheel, just vice-grips on the steering shaft. Make sure you have your dot tape on the tractor so he can see you!!

    True story.

Texas loves to write tickets for this. The red must be on the outside edge
They also will be looking for white/silver reflactive tape on the top rear sides of the cab .

make sure red is on the outside?

    you gotta be joking

there are actually DOT officers who cannot see a bobtail because the red is on the inside?

or (which is more likely) there are DOT officers who have nothing better to do and want to generate income for their district and show a truck driver the power of his badge by giving you a citation because the red part of the reflector was on the inside?

and sadly, some drivers feel that such harassment, because its a law, it is worthy of enforcement

and yet these same drivers will whine and complain about obama, or bush, or clinton, or someone else destroying this country with "socialistic, liberal, communist" approaches

its not the president, its the system, its corrupt from the core because the citizens stopped exercising its authority over its politicians

Since no one else has brought it up I will, what about the brackets/fenders that have DOT approved reflective STT lights built in?
