Just wanted to stop in and say thank you to everyone. I have read the entire thread,and it was very enlightening. I am heading for TMC in Des Moines for orientation on the 11th.
Its to bad TMC will not hire me out of VERMONT....I would love to drive for them I ahve doen Refer and Dry van for over 22yrs now and would love to try out flatbed..........anyone have have any info for me let me know on here..........is TMC gettign new trucks? and how are they?
Tmc gets new trucks every few years just like Any big trucking company try maverick, swift, and crst I am just not Sure of their hiring area.
The trucks TMC is buying now are the first since 2008 and that was not many. Most are still 2006-2007 pre emission trucks. Less problems for the most part.
Yep, im in an 07 379 ext hood. The 388's look good but next to a 379 its just nowhere near as "sexy" as that long hood. All though it is a pain to get in and out of some places in this thing.
Hey everyone, Been a member of the forum for a few months reading about different companies and this is my first post. Just finished reading this entire thread and I really like TMC. I'm seriously considering getting my CDL in the next couple of months and hitting the road. A question about TMC hiring that I didn't see asked. I currently live in Tucson, AZ and TMC is not hiring from this area right now but they are hiring from the San Antonio, TX area (wife has a good friend there and would like to move there). Can I apply for the TX position while still living in AZ and move after going through orientation or do I have to move to TX first then apply? Thanks for all the great information I have been reading over the last few months.
I would guess you would have to live in TX. Dawg, the long hoods have just the bigger hood and a 70" sleeper, mine is a 63" sleeper. Not a huge difference.
