At 26 grand I expect you to line up at the welfare office so you can eat. :)

Well been a week PB, guess that lack of driving experience was enough to scare you off from calling, lol.

I ain't giving up though, got a couple replies to the mass of resumes I've sent out, mostly jobs that require class 3 not class 1.
Not sure if taking a class 3 job is a good idea, but meh, I'll mull it over as I spend the next couple of weeks filling the wood shed.
Got some nice fir that needs splitting.
Anyhoo you take care, don't be scared to call if you get a burning desire to take on a newb trucker. Hell you might even be able to convince me to show you how not to weld ;-)

What does the class 3 pay???? Try Valard Construction in Leduc. Power Line work pays good bucks. Just ask Nate. He's just driving a little Tonka toy now and making good money.

I am trying to figure out how to get my Class 1, is it better to hit up the schools or apply with you or another company that will have me learn my class 1 without going to one of those schools. ANy info appreciated. Thanks.

    Hey Prairie boy,
can you give me advice on the best way to get someone to get back to you from First Canada or one of these places? I'm more than qualified as a bus or truck driver and I've sent my CV but I'm starting to get the impression that these folks get a zillion CVs and phone calls a day. Is it more worth someones while to just come out and take your chances?I'd prefer to have a job before going out there but I guess everyone would. Thanks in advance for any replies.

PB would you been interested in a log truck driver with 9 years experience and a clean drivers abstract?
