Blah, that time again, my DBL scheduled my DOT physical for Friday afternoon :biggrin_2557: Can't believe it is about to expire already.

At least I know I will be home early on Friday! :biggrin_25522:

I hope no one from here or SNI got caught up in the road closure of I-75 at I -280 this morning.

What I heard on the CB was a loaded truck/trailer ran up onto or into an MT car hauler.

I was diverted onto 280 at 0500. When I was coming back SB at 1000ish they were just then driving away with the burned out cab(only thing left was the frame and the sleeper ) and partially burned up trailer( front third burned but still intact). Could see two separate spots where a fire occurred on the roadway approx. 50 yds apart.

I sincerely hope the driver of the burned truck got out safely.

I went by at about 0930 this morning. It was only backed up about 3 miles....only the far left lane was open. I had my cb off so didn't know about it, by the time I saw the back up and turned on my cb, I was past the US24 exit to get around it......didn't set me back to far.

    aka: you screw up.....your done.

Anyways, at home again, really don't mind this new gig with weekends off. I see everyone getting into these new T680's and the newer guys too! How do I know, cause their backing sucks! Sorry, no offense. If your going to put a driver in a nicer truck that would represent the company better, put a decent driver in it please.

and yesterday, I'm running US 68 sb in Ky , right at Ky 167 , get stopped by a car wreck. two vehicles. Life flight helo set down in front of the truck!!! I was only delayed about a half hour total. While I was waiting, a different ambulance pulled up with a patient in the back!! They let them go through before the helo started the engines again.

Really hope that car driver made it ok.

Yeah I hate seeing wrecks. Terrible stuff. I have seen some bad ones though like we all have.

Got bumped out of my old truck cause intermodal wanted it back so that was a bummer right there. I like my new 2010 Century but there is no way to keep the cab cool without idling, and being stuck here in Edwardsville, IL at 85+ with 44% humidity, yeah, I'm idling. There goes the bonus though.
