I absolutely encourage all underpaid and mistreated drivers to leave your current employer and apply for a better paying one. Do I need to draw pictures to get this across?

Benefits of the new HOS? How about full employment for DOT ticket-writers!

Only for those smart enough to get a pay increase. The megas are going for it. Why else are they going to the feds complaining? They dont want to pay more to drivers. But, have to to retain. Its all about taking advantage of the decrease in hours in exchange for a 21% increase in pay. Pretty simple. Look it up about the megas complaining to the feds about new HOS. Really funny. I for one would rather work smarter than work harder.

And what percentage of these drivers will succeed in getting hired somewhere with better wages and conditions if they did that ? Many of these drivers have these jobs simply because the better carriers won't even consider them .

I don't know but some could. For example I know personally a member on this forum who used to complain here about the company this person is working for;and then told me under the table was worried cause this person received a "talking to" from the management of bottom feeder outfit.

I asked 'Why don't you go somewhere else' and got no definitive answer.I think for some it becomes that syndrome of kidnapper/hostage.Forgot what the shrinks call that. Either that-or they are out of their mind NUTS...:biggrin_2559:
