So I guess its not much of an improvement over cummins in that regard. And paccar hasnt gotten any better at SCR. in the shop 28 times in 2 years over emmisions crap kinda deal?
my 2011 has been in the shop once for emmisions other then getting pm's done when due much better then the 2010 model the new 680's have been having issues not all emission related just new model related
many of them here have fooled adblue temperature sensor so it is showing -30C this means frozen adblue and truck continue to drive without problems without power reduction and so on , they put relays complete instalation but i would not worry about scr reliability this is not problem as long as you have good adblue only except you dont want to waste money on urea
Basic,i have one but no EGR on it. SCR system is NOT Paccar build. Bosch. Engine, strong and good on fuel. Not the quickest but i think that you can relate to fuelusage. Do i like it? YES but will you like it? I don't know what kind off driver you are. If you want to be the first up the hill, passing all, then i would say don't buy it. If you like to think off your bankaccount..........then maybe yes. They are workhorses, not racehorses. I wouldn't worry to much about the SCR in your decision to which truck you buy. Look at a KW,Mack and Volvo's SCR system. I'm willing to bet that the control box on all 3 will the same shape.(12 inches by 8,8inch high)
Because off some legal and technical issues, there was a limited series build without any derate system. Guess which series mine is.(just dumb luck, happend to buy at the right time) Sorry Basic for the short hijack off your thread.
