Speeding 67 in a 60 (Still fighting this one, Safety told me the points would be removed if I could get the ticket reduced to a non-moving/non-equipment violation)
2klbs overweight on the trailer because I forgot to spread the axles on a stepdeck

The speeding ticket is messed up. The clerk put in a guilty plea when I paid the cash bond to get my license back. Now I'm having to fight the court to get the case reopened to try fighting the ticket. So right now it looks like I plead guilty to it when I didn't.

Like I said, the fact that I was fired is a fair reason. I had it coming and I knew I was on thin ice for a while. The way they fired me was BS and uncalled for.

I already have a new job set up starting tomorrow. I have plenty of connections at home to keep myself busy. I had been wanting to get off the road anyways and be home with my family more. This just made the choice to do it much easier.

Maybe some day I'll go back to driving, but for now I'm done with it.

I may go back to school and get into something mechanical, don't know yet.

    Evil_E Thanks this.

Go back to the Pumpkin patch. How many tickets do you have?

If your only problem with Maverick is how they fired you, why wouldn't you recommend them to someone? Bottom line is they are a business and have to cover their hind ends. Someone can be the nicest most considerate person but snap when fired. Maverick's equipment isn't cheap. If you were in their shoes and fired someone that had been with you less than a year would you want to gamble that kind of money?

I do wish you the best of luck in whatever you do :biggrin_25519:

You were treated that way because of all of the dishonorable drivers in the past. I would feel the same way as you...final analysis...great company to work for until they fire you, !
    Best of luck!

Where did you get that speeding ticket?
That is b.s that you were less than ten and they gave you a ticket. How do you think you are going to be able to beat the ticket?
I hate to see this thread end. Seems that everyone that I have been following on here is getting out of trucking.
    Good luck!
