I pull flatbed and it is the only driving job I have ever had. I call it my company paid work out program! You do not even have to think about working out...you just do it as part of the job. I love it!

I'm currently in school and I CAN'T WAIT to drive a flatbed. I really hope I can get a job driving one.

Do you have an pre-hires?

Oh bring me money. Lift that tarp so I can protect your cargo. $45.00 for 25 minutes work ain't bad. Works every time. Roll them up, and wait for the next load.

We don't want bugs hitting our bug spraying tanks. We pay you 65.00. They sit in the parking lot getting dusty. But no Bugs. Go figure.

I do. I have one from roehl and another from usxpress (I know they don't flatbed). I was thinking maverick or tmc. I like the idea of flatbed because I don't want to be a robot. I enjoy challenges and stress (that's why I'm grey at 34). I tend to gravitate to the jobs no one wants to do. Besides, it looks waaaaay cooler to have an excavator or piping on your rig than a giant box. Lol

If you think you want to flatbed do it and don't look back. No reason to go to one of those awful starter box companies. The Bird, peterbilt_2005 and DrtyDiesel Thank this.

Indeed! I really hope I can get a job flat bedding. My driving record is decent (no DUI or serious stuff) and no convictions. I'd like to drive oversized stuff but I know I need xp first. Any help or recommendations are greatly appreciated! Btw, I'm going for combination, doubles, triples, tanker and haz mat.MJ1657 Thanks this.

I wish I would have gotten all my endorsements when I first got my CDL. I've thought about getting my hazmat as there are some hazmat flatbed loads though the company I'm with doesn't haul hazmat, I honestly plan on going to tanker in the future, no time soon, but in the future.
I do enjoy hauling oversize even though it can be more trouble than its worth sometimes -
Im one of the dreaded orange box haulers. Been thinking of flatbeding since school. Most fb companies near me say home weekly, which would make the ol lady happy. Hearing shippers actually appreciate you is icing on the cake! It gets tiresome getting to a warehouse and the clerk acts like Im an inconvenience.
DrtyDiesel Thanks this.
