    Someone broke my driver side mirror while I was taking a shower. No witnesses. No security cameras in the parking area. Any suggestions on what to buy?

    A bit pricey, but well worth it...

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005UG2SY0/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    the stand/mount for it...

    It will catch both nose mirrors from the dash of my prostar and has a 1-sec/frame parking mode when you are sitting still and away from truck.

    its pricey because it shows speed and gps coordinates at bottom of video, and is submissible in court as evidence video...the cops in my hometown use these.

    much higher resolution and the shock and gps sensors built in. The shock sensor records in 3d, so if someone hits the side of you, it will show the jolt from them hitting you, and not you jolting into them. The gps plugs into google maps directly showing the actual event(s) and speeds you were going.

    here is some video off mine from the other day...

    raw footage straight off camera...

    I should also probably mention the software lets you take 1.5MP photo's straight off the recorded video, allowing you to zoom way in on license plates as well.

    ====================

    if its your fault, cycle the power while holding button on back for 5 seconds and it will wipe the memcard.

    I had that happen recently and decided to install two inexpensive dash cams. They cost $20 each on Amazon and have a good battery life and they're working great. More and more drivers are installing them.

    P.S. Look for cams that have batteries, have motion detection, will record sound. Mine have all 3. You don't have to spend a lot of money just watch the reviews on cams that are not durable.

    also, they need to be mounted INSIDE the cab and have microchips to relay what your doing to the office. :biggrin_2559:

    while i don't have a cam. i hear the truckstop ones aren't as good quality, don't have the features. and are pricey.
