Just guesses here, but you need whatever your guy asks for. So I wouldn't provide him with all kinds of stuff unless your plan is to overwhelm him.

And another guess, you don't need anyone to have reasonable suspicion training if you haven't sent anyone in for reasonable suspicion testing.

I'm all out of guessing, good luck. You shouldn't need it the new focused audits (or at least ours) are a joke.

Depends on the guy/gal doing your audit. What do your scores look like? We had freakin' awful scores and passed our inspection. Our guy matched fuel and looked at inspection reports. Over the two days he was there he might have knocked out 6 hours of work.

Is this your new entrant safety audit?

Sounds like it's a new entrant safety audit. For logs you need to provide supporting documents so that whoever is auditing you can see that the logs aren't falsified. You should show fuel receipts and make sure that they are matching the times that the logs have on them. As for the EZ Pass -- the auditor will not know whether you use EZ Pass or not. You can show it to them if you want to, although I would make sure that the info from the EZ Pass matches the information of your drivers log books.

As far as Reasonable Suspicion Training, you should have at least 1 person in your office who deals with drivers receive this training. If this is a new entrant audit the person doing the audit may not care as much about it -- but you should definitely look into having someone who interacts with the drivers getting it.

Usually they tell you exactly what they want from you so as long as you're able to provide all of it, and it's legit, you should be fine.

It shouldn't be an issue, they're going to understand that you don't have immediate access to everything. Work with them, provide them with the documents they ask for to the best of your ability.

Don't get too nervous mnine55. Them auditors are like you and me and if you do it long enough you'll develop a relationship. They'll give you about an hour leeway on the times and work with you. It's easy to tell the difference between someone that makes a mistake versus the blatant falsifier. Why are you missing toll receipts? Drivers want reimbursed which should give you a copy to file. Develop a good system whether it be a file cabinet or scanning them to a computer.

    Reference reasonable suspicion...

    mnine55 Thanks this.
