I think goblue started the threads on behalf of our RDTC class and he and I just ended up posting the most in them.
Interesting note, I just got an email from Kim saying that the RDTC is changing it's name to the wisconsin CDL school, and the road test fee is going up from $85 to $150
yup, it's just a name change. Doesn't make any sense to me. I've also been told the road test fee is/has been set by the state.
Name change doesn't surprise me. When I was there they wouldn't even give us pens or anything that said Roehl on them, because Roehl wanted nothing to do with being affiliated with RDTC.
Well, another way to say this might be that Roehl wanted to be careful to keep the two entities separate and distinct. RDTC was founded as separate organization from Roehl Transport Inc. Technically, the RDTC instructions were not employees of RTI even before the name change. And the trucks used by RDTC were leased from RTI, with rent payments made to RTI.
So is it a competition? Do they cut the lower third of the class at some point? Do they make life hard just to weed out the duffers? Also, given that Roehl is not actually affiliated with their own school: is that "100% graduate placement guarantee" the truth, or just recruitment hype? what's the REAL story with the school? And how badly do they ding your pay on repaying the cost of the class? Would it be better to just go to a local CC school instead? Thanks in advance for the info!!
