12/04/2013 Did online application I was then contacted by my Driver Agent.She informed me that if I was accepted that I would have to pay for my own ride to N.LittleRock,AR I told her that I will pass because I felt like providing my own meals and transportation was too much. After being held up on my WIA (tired of waiting) I called my Driver Agent back ans said,"Let's do it" She was like great! As soon as I got off the phone with her she went to work on my app. I know because soon as we hung up the phone my boss got a call verifying my employment. Next day I called her back and asked how was things going. She said that she is working on verifying my other employment that I listed and waiting on MVR and Criminal background report. A few days later I called back and asked her how was it going. She said that the MVR and Criminal background check had came back and everything was good and she also said I had no criminal background even though i was honest but thats good she said because PAM might pull it up. Called back the next day and she said that she had faxed the verification release papers to the other employment listed.So I call the other employment listed for 2 days until they sent it back. Called my Driver Agent back the next business day and told her they sent it and she said she hAD it. She said the next thing that would happen was in a couple of days I would be getting an email from them for a statement on my felony. I must have good luck because once again as soon as she got off the phone I recieved an email from their placement dept saying that PAM is requesting more info on my felony conviction. I sent the statement immediately. I was scared after hearing all the stories about they wont hire a felon until after 10 years,but my felony is not a bad one and I explained alot (which some people said was too much info it'smy first post go check it out). Today 12/30/2013 I got the good news. I'm good to go and I wanted to start class Feb 3rd to get a few paychecks under my belt but my Driver agent said the go is only good for 30 days so I'll have to start sooner unless I want to go trough the same process all over again. So here we go my date to start is January 27th 2014 Keep in mind I'm an individual and everthing that an individual person goes through is not your guaranteed result but my experience may help you. I also asked my driver agent about the people that complain about getting dropped for nothing. She said trust me it was something like failed drug test that they dont wanna admit, health reasons, or they just were failing. I believe that and I feel like if I can make it you can too! Congrats, I didn't have the same luck. I'm back in Oklahoma now though and should be able to get my refresher course paid for and hope to get on with TransAM
sorry to hear that but have you tried Schnieder and PTL...I have pre hires from them..but they dont offer the training I need and If PAM gives me my love..Im gonna show love back..by trying to stick it out with them..Good and the Bad times
Talkin to Workforce Oklahoma and Vocational Rehabilitation tomarrow to see about a 3 week refresher course at Arbuckle Truck Driving School in Ardmore. TransAM has stated they'd consider me if I had a refresher course.
I start on the 3rd..I wanted to get another paycheck at my current job under my belt before I leave...Feb 3rd is my day
Thanks a lot and yes I have been studying hard usingbthe egears system that driver solutions supplied for free and I have a friend that's attending a local cdl school and he gave me a hazmat manual and I also have that down packed...once again thanks for the luck
