I 100% agree with you but let's not try and get there money back all at once...if my renewal would of been lets say $7,400 or even $8,500 I may never had shopped it but to go from $5,700 all the way to $30,k is crazy.

Now my progressive will never get a chance to recoup there money they got FIRED!!! Also they did get lots more money out of me when all five trucks were rolling so they never loosed anything. I get they can't predict the future so they go off your past, but that changed in my case no more stupid drivers!!

....which brings us to an entirely different discussion. All the single truck O/O's that have bought themselves jobs like to say they have a cost of $1/mile $1.25/mile or whatever and that may or may not be true BUT as some of us have learned, that is NOT the cost of running trucking company. By the time you factor in poor fuel economy by the driver, claims caused by the driver that you pay for long after he has left, driver pay and all the other payroll taxes etc, we are getting close to $2/mile.

Trust me it took a long time to comprehend why I was not making money when 80% of my freight was direct customers and getting over $4/mi

I feel ya. I knew my last driver and I were done when he told me that I needed to buy new ratchet binders because the ones he had were all rusted together because couldn't be bothered to spray them with lubricant. Needless to say I am still using them today.

Brother, don't even get me started.

Had one tell me last week when he turned the channel the display stayed on 19 plus he couldn't receive or transmit unless he was right next to the other truck. So I get in his truck this weekend...sure enough he has the Cobra 29's "Ch19" button set that's why the display wouldn't change. Also had the RF gain turned down and the thing was set to Cal SWR. He said it wasn't him because he hasn't touched the buttons in two and a half years.

LOL Wow! How could you trust a guy like that driving your truck? Not trying to be a jerk towards you by any means but dang that guy sounds like a winner!

I bought a 20.00 foldable chair. Always stop to check my rig before I drop into the valley. I can drop & spin & Blythe. I sip coffee, and enjoy the view.

Thought I'd give an update, just got my 2014 price (still with progressive) and my premium is dropping by $700.
