What was your ah hah moment that you said forget this instead of working for the man im going to be the man?
Best things that happened to me in recent past occurred after I asked for a raise and the boss man said no
In my 3rd year of driving I went to orientation at Cannon express, they laid down the law as far as home time which was cool. 16 days out 4 home........ so after orientation I get a truck, get a load and head from Arkansas to PA. On the way out there I told them I needed to be home in 3 weeks. They said "we will see what we can do" I knew how that was gonna turn out and I told them I will deliver load in PA and I need to be routed back to Ark, and that I quit. I purchased 1st truck a year later.......
I'm just wondering cause I might have had that moment last weekend. I just can't wrap my head around how it works out. Maybe it's because I've been an employee for so many years.
When I saw how bad the service was in this industry and that many will pay for service. Good service doesn't cost any more but it sure pays better.
The ah hah moment was when I peed on my feet that I realized there was no toilet there....... Believe that one stick around and I will make up another.
The first time I had to drive a Beancounter spec'd fleet truck. Until 2007, I had never driven a truck that was spec'd out by someone who didn't know jack about a truck. Definitely adds to the dangers of trucking.
was drunk in a bar and this other drunk sold me a 1965 pete conv.,with a trailmobile trl. with a load of meat on it going to calf. of course didnt know how to drive it but it all worked out. and one thing i can tell you it didnt have E-logs in it,or anything else for that matter. b safe out there
