Double "S" Transportation, Springfield, MO. Caution when going to work for this company, they operate Refers and Tankers, The office employees are rude and extremely forceful, be sure to read any and all information about their fining system, Yes, They fine you for all kinds of things, such as Idling, Not calling in every day including your days off, and many other things, they really hate to tell you where you are going to pick-up or deliver until the last minute, they quite often refuse to give you directions because they do not wish to be disturbed, I understand that we all need a job, Just be warned, they definitely are not driver friendly.

This may have been the case in 2009, but it's not now. They no longer pull refers, tanks and FedEx Ground only. Staff has changed attitudes have changed and pay has been improved. Check them out!

According to the sign out on the highway they pull reefers. I happen to live a few blocks away from them.

According to that cheesy website they pull vans and FedEx. Staff has changed attitudes? :biggrin_2559:

Companies are allowed one job thread in our Trucking Job forum. Read the rules while you are in there. Any recruiting outside your one thread and we'll buy you a Greyhound bus ticket. :biggrin_25525:

They did pull refers leased to another company until November last year. They pulled the trucks from the lease due to drivers not making any money. Now all they do is Tanks and FedEx. And yes the office personnel has changed and the people they have now have much better attitudes. How does living a few blocks away from them make you an expert?

? If they no longer pull reefers it seems logical to take the "sign by the highway" down and update your website to also include pulling tanks. That should end the questions right there. Honestly if I was looking at them I'd probably do something wild and crazy like look at their website to see what they do and I would think seeing a sign advertising pulling reefers would indicate they pull reefers. Both seem like and should be easy fixes. I'm not bashing your company just pointing out obvious and relatively easy fixes.

First off their website isn't even up at the moment it is under construction and changes are being made so don't have any idea where their information comes from. 2nd it takes a lot to change those signs, check it out sometime. Not saying you are bashing my company but seems to me there is lot of talk from those that haven't done their research.

Also take note my husband is a truck driver not for this company, he runs flat beds. My dad was a truck driver from the age of 17 until he retired at 70. My brother was a truck driver until his eyesight failed and he couldn't pass the DOT physical anymore. I have been in and around trucking all my life. I am defending the company I work for not recruiting! All I said was that the "office employees" as the original poster stated have changed hence there are new attitudes in the office. Those people that he dealt with are no longer with the company. Want to talk about rude!

    Enough with the bickering.

HH your not seeing the bigger picture, here. They are simply telling you that there are small things the company could do to show that changes have been made.

Take a look at the section that this thread is posted in. Its not the jobs forum, its not the favorite forum.
