I like my home mechanics in El Monte, CA. Small shop mainly does intermodal but will work on anything company. I am waiting to get back there now that I am an IC and see what they say about working on my truck. West Memphis did a great job working on my company truck as well. And Fontana treated me right.

If you get work done at an OC as an IC, the only way you can pay for it is to have it deducted directly from your next settlement, not your maintenance account, just something to keep in mind. Not sure if they are set up to take payment from a Visa, etc., either.

Yeah. I remember hearing that at training. Guess I'll just ask next time I swing back home. Worst they can say is no! If they won't there are plenty of places in LA that will gladly take my money in sure! Thanks for the reminder, you back out on the road? I'm taking my 34 and it is snowing now, so not sure I will be doing any line 5 driving now.

I notice you have 1 yr. in trucking. How accurate is that? How long did it take you to decide on going IC? Is it worth it?

18 months in trucking now. All with Schneider. First as company driver. Now as IC. Just started a week ago. So far so good. Check out my other threads on here if you haven't already. I dish the dirt.

Do you need an appointment # for Dollar Tree in Savannah, Ga? Im thinking about taking a load there, but I want to drop early. Like the day before, I called my DBL and got the usual run around. He telling me I should not drop early on any load. I never drop a load at dollar tree, the only early service failures I know are Target and Home Depot.
