Isn't threatening some ones livelihood coercion ?

 

It doesn't matter how you look at the situation.I know some of these dispatchers and know the one Abe was on the phone with.Every one of them will not give drivers a moments peace and they all tell other drivers the same thing they told Abe but Abe made a video of it and im really glad he did.Don't think kb will hear the end of this for a long time to come.Maybe Brock will do some changing at his company.

 

They already got a rule for it.......

No driver shall operate a commercial motor vehicle, and a motor carrier shall not require or permit a driver to operate a commercial motor vehicle, while the driver's ability or alertness is so impaired, or so likely to become impaired, through fatigue, illness, or any other cause, as to make it unsafe for him/her to begin or continue to operate the commercial motor vehicle.

Yes, it is. They have not addressed this yet. A law needs implemented.

 

Yes & No. There's a fine line there. I was in radio for years. Listeners would call the station for a contest,request,etc . That's expected. On the other hand ,if we were to call a listener from a station phone, we would have to ask permission to record the call. Again, a fine line ...

 

Dispatchers don't acknowledge FMCSA rules that drivers are bound to .

A law is required that forces them to get off our backs .

Soon dispatch pimps will be forced to chill out

 

I don't know if KB dispatches their own trucks(I would think so). Wouldn't that have the dispatcher under the MC thus making the rule effective?

 

yeah, well this guy and this judge in this court seem to think differently..........

“America’s truck drivers have the right to refuse to drive when they are fatigued and/or ill and when they may be in violation of hours-of-service requirements, as permitted by current federal trucking regulations,” Cindy A. Coe, OSHA’s regional administrator in Atlanta said in a press release “OSHA will ensure that these basic worker rights are protected and will prosecute any employer found violating them.”

I kinda understand where he is coming from. But He should have just pushed through, It was only 160 miles. Plus he knew he was going to have to do it. He should have prepared himself.

 

the company I drive for is outlaw at heart , old school , they will require a law , trust me .
