Put the stuff you want to keep till the second week in a separate cooler and then put dry ice with it

now if you want to spend the money for about $199.00 they have a small box micro that works off cig lighter, but not sure how well they worked, always wanted one but I have truck with apu and inverter so no need for it.

how you getting to orientation too bus, plane, rental car? Remember that's going to be allot of baggage for one to keep track of let alone man handle from one transfer to another. Best to go lite and p/u stuff when there as needed...but then again I don't know what I am talking about

Go for it, if it doesn't work you can always leave it in the car. You have nothing to lose.
