I think states that are heavy agricultural areas hit this one more than others. I've never had my tanks checked in the Northeast.
It takes a very long time to work it out, a company I used to work for used large diesel engines for jetting underground lines, and had to clean the tanks completely because there can be no dyed fuel in any tanks other than delivery tanks on an on road vehicle. I can't remember how diluted it has to be until it no longer shows evidence of dye. Another company, in construction, sold all of their diesel pickups when the dyed fuel rule came into this area, I guess they were worried about it showing no matter what they did. Premium diesel used to be dyed red, back in the day, regular diesel never was until they used it for tax exempt identification.
Hi dude6710, I think that's terrible! Couldn't that time be better spent somewhere else? Big crime. I don't mean to rip on your state, but I don't think much of Minnesota's law enforcement personnel. Didn't have much trouble in a semi, although, I did ditch a cop in Winona once, that was cool. But at the drag races in Brainerd one year, traffic was backed up at the entrance, as usual, and this state cop was SCREAMING at everyone. Couldn't believe that.

Always doing roadsides everywhere. Drove 26 miles today so far and saw 3 dot driving around, 4 troopers and a armored car.

With these northern states so strapped for cash( do they really need 50K dollar Tahoes?) guess who their sites will be set on?

They don't use tahoes that much anymore. They all have new explorers And I believe the scale masters have the pickup trucks.
Hey little cat 500, listen to this. Back in the '70's, I worked for an asphalt company, mostly seal coating, and the yard was an ecological nightmare. On a "yard day"once, the lead man told me to go change the oil in the chip spreader. I asked him how much it held, and how big a drain pan I should take. He looked at me, and said,"Let it go right on the ground". I thought he was kidding, but was serious, and said, "Just get going". So I pulled the plug and let 'er go. The EPA eventually shut the yard down, but can you believe the mindset back then?
