It's like a house or a car. NOBODY goes into a house purchase or business startup planning on leaving early or failing. Those who think like that in a trucking lease are NOT ready to tackle a business on their own. Stuff surely does happen, but you plan for them in advance (like having a maintenance and tax fund) and deal with the details when they happen.

That might be true for other companies; I only know what mine paid. And it was load value.

Anyway I have been checking out the casscadia and if I can get it to my personal specs with

    DT12 or 13
    leather or vynil
gauge package / w Bluetooth stereo
    fridge
    flatscreen prep
    tri pac Apu
    heat, Cooled seats / swivel
    DD15 engine
    ratio of 3.35 to 3.58 ( not 2.64 )
rubber floor ( no carpet )
    load gauge
    back wall cabinet package

id also consider the KW with the same as above specs and Smart Wheel with the 13 & PACCAR MX engine .

I'll be all in .. Whether that be my dealer or SNF .

My my wife likes the KW look and I like the FL really just because of the dealer network the KW has more room but you do have to look at the warranties as well and I belive ( not certain) that the FL has a little more warranty but could be wrong ..

Now you have to look at what I'm doing ...

Im bringing money into the deal to lower my weekly payment . Currently my truck if calculated by the week would be around $265 .. I think I can get a NEW UNIT through my dealer or SNF and be right around 550-600 .. Money talks in a lease or purchase but if you put the kind of money I am down you must look at RESALE VALUE and Residual . The KW will most likely hold its value better than the FL but that's just an assumption .

Were still weighing our options and the other option is just keep what we got currently and roll with no payment for a while . We will have truck paid for by June / July next year .

Looking at at it from several angles still , nothing in stone as of yet .

But...I really enjoyed hearing about those great weekly NET settlement checks you keep bringing in because of low fixed costs. :biggrin_255:

I wish you luck in what ever decision you make and regardless of which path you choose, either one can and will be successful.....but just different.

I've heard about the relatively new Bose seats. I talked to one driver who told me they're as good as their headsets. Expensive, but good.
