Hey cranky , I just got my shower so now I dont smell like a bull wagon


Sitting at loves here on 44 in MO. Gonna wait about 2 or 3 hrs and then move to the receiver since I can park there over night for my 5 a.m. delivery ......

Also got a call this morning from one of the companies I applied at , and the guy told me they like a yr , but could work with what I jave since I have been so interested in them. He has to give my application to the live stock manager and that I should hear from him today or tomorrow ..

I am not counting my chickens just yet , but he did say they like experience . However they havent had really much interest in the hog hauling that they could put me with a driver for training for a little bit with pay.

Got my fingers crossed and hope it goes my way . God knows I have been trying from as far as putting a ad on livestock network to hounding this place ... lol
I am working for what I want I guess , so we shall see ......

that would be a insult too him because he has been at it alot longer .

I dont know what I will do . I never was able to meet up with him to learn from his expertise.

I guess I can always watch a video on youtube and be a professional in a matter of moment's

did you ever try Honey Locust Farms ?

Maybe pull a 'fridge for them until you get some experience then work your way over to livestock....Haven't seen them pull cows in a while only hogs not sure if cattle are part of their program anymore or not..

 

Oh yeah , maybe I should have said .
Thats who I got the call from , and yea if thats what I have to do to get my foot in the door then so bee it.
I allready told the guy that I would start where I have to but I prefer to start out on the livestock division.

What I like about them is they are a small company (about 60 trucks) I mean 60 trucks is a good bit , but its a better chance of having a name instead of a employee # .


Oh and I was told they dont do cattle anymore , just hogs.

 

They appear to have some very nice well maintained equiptment I see them running up and down 95 to Flori-duh quite a bit..I tried the 'fridge division years ago but they don't hire from up here in upstate NY..

When you get home go see them, just drive over and basically convince them to hire you....That shows you're serious and not some yahoo off the street..I think they would be a great place for you to land !

 

Probably reason being is that they want all the trucks parked at the yard when not being used , so I do have a leg up kinda since i live about 30 mins away.

They do have some nice equipment and when it gets parked for the weekend , it will be washed when you pick it back up .

I have talked to a few guys from there and they love it . The one driver said he has been there for about 10 yrs And will be his last driving job.

I seen a few running 95 back when I was going from florida to new york every couple weeks..
