You can get a lot of exercise jumping to conclusions. Not sure how you figure I am a plant for the oil companies. That's a bit of a stretch, don't you think? For the record, I am a small carrier owner. I just happen to have good enough business sense to be profitable and understand that there are a number of market forces at work in this industry. In my spare time, I read up on things so I can be more aware of trends and impacts.

And GLOBALLY was a giveaway? LOL Wake up! We live in a GLOBAL economy.

Tried the poll approach once on here. I think the questions were too hard or some were missing too many fingers/toes to accurately work the calculations. But I will look for it and give you my input.

Polls are nice but they dont keep you in business.I got a question for you.Do you believe even if you do all this dressing, keeping trucks and trlrs clean watching you Ps and Qs that the brokers ,and shippers will keep paying top dollar frieght or go to someone with cheaper freight?I have seen Company spend time on the phone getting freight rates for Million dollar loads not because the driver or the equipment is all pretty and shiny. All they wanted was cargo, libility ins.and bond.O yes and the lowest price.Yes brokers and shippers might be loyal up to a point then their pocket book takes over.Ive seen it happen and quiet a few of us has had it to happen.before.Most of the time its the ones that say I will never lose my business that do.

We had plenty of water in our Lakes...And yeah ENRON I feel bad for those that got screwed out of there 401ks...But with the rising cost of everything the people on Fixed incomes are struggling and it is going to get only worse..

People that talk around and act like nothingg is wrong and say that people need to save up for retirement need to read the news and open there eyes to the real world...People that have a Silver Spoon placed somewheres I guess wont have much af a problem..

This is getting old, 20 pages of basically the same thing.

The more excuses you guys give to why you can't make money the more times the smart ones attempt to teach you how to make money.

Nobody has been able to answer this simple question,

AM I SUPPOSED TO WORK FOR FREE OR AT A LOSS FOR THE FIXED INCOMERS????

If you can't figure out how to own your truck and make a profit, then sell the darn thing already and quit making excuses.

Either you are smart enough or your not.

If you are having all these problems being a o/o why don't you become a company man?

And btw I live on the Mississippi River and there were PLENTY of boats out there last weekend.....

Remember.... those that are not adapting or adjusting their businesses will soon be gone.... Too bad so sad..... That means more freight and higher rates for those of us who know how to adjust as needed..... :biggrin_25525:

I realy dont care if you work at all.Looks like you spend a lot of your time here telling people how to make money well I realy dont need you are Big diesel telling me how to make money as for the same old post most of them have been made by you and him.I would not have a 2006 Pete and RGN if I didnt know how to make money But I still care about the old folks having food and a place to sleep. No matter how much money I make I still have feelings for people.
