You WILL need operating authority in both Ontario and Quebec, they are regulated provinces, check it out BEFORE you go there with your truck the first time.
All you need is your National Safety Code Certificate. Extra Provincial Authorities no longer exist anywhere in Canada.
I already have ON listed on my cab card, it was just like adding any other juristdiction, no questions asked. Maybe QC is different, but I guess I will find out here soon.
Quebec has you register only. Cab card is wall you need for plates. They even recognize your National Safety Code Certificate. and it doesn't have to be in French. LOL
Well, got all my ppwk filed for gettin my US authority the other day. There is a great guy in the Toronto area who does that kinda thing day in n day out. Very reasonable also in my opinion. Apr. 10 is what he says will be the day everything is in place. Rates are gonna be hot running produce AB-TX-AB...lookin fwd to it.
He has done everything for US access including supplying 2000 pars n paps barcodes. $1730 covered it all.
Was your guy able to get everything in place as he originally thought? I'm curious as I know a few people who were being told >30days from FMCSA to get their call and letter but your guy maybe has a way to fast track the process a bit? Hopefully it's soon if you haven't heard already!
