Check out the LTL carriers in your area. Some of them have a driver trainee program. You'd work the dock and shuffle trailers around the yard until you get your CDL...then go to driver. You'd be collecting a salary while you learn the trade...and you'd get your CDL for the price of on the house.

Earl Henderson Trucking Co. has a good program and furnishes hotel room and 3 meals a day.
They give you a bus ticket to get to the school in Illinois.

Take a bunch of Ramen Noodles and instant coffee to carry in the truck until your paychecks start. Microwave use is free in truckstops.

Scroll to the top of this page and click on "CDL Practice Tests" to prepare for the CDL permit test.

You need $500.00 up front plus license fees. Don't know about meals or lodging.

Ok. And then they take 80 a month for how long? How long are you obligated to work for them or pay full price? What is full price of training? Do they offer a discounted price if you pay more than 500 upfront costs?
