:D Well, I prefer the squalling of critters to the squalling of a bunch of pompous bureaucrats that don't get their way.....although I did enjoy their deer in the headlights look.

Hood's is a big deal. Always a place to park and a full-service restaurant ....no fast food junk. People that keep an eye on things around there.....they look out for the drivers and their trucks. There used to be a bunch of local musicians that would get together and perform over there on the weekends .....but I think that got shut down because of royalty fees.

This part of Missouri is getting pretty bad. Springfield has always had a high crime rate but it has spread out to the smaller communities. About 3 miles north of Hood's is a little country church. This last Sunday morning in between Sunday school and church service the minister caught someone breaking into cars and stealing. He confronted the thief.......and was rewarded with a gun pointed at his head.
    Crazy world we live in.....

It really was a shame because it was just a bunch of local guys getting together and playing for the joy of it ....they weren't being paid. The way I understand it though because the restaurant was open and making money at the times that they were playing, they had to pay royalty fees. The royalty fees are based on the expected income during the times the musicians were playing.
