If you replace and fix the broken or worn out parts as you go your APU will look brand new like mine. I also take the cover off once in a while and have Blue Beacon wash the motor.
I went through 3 fridges until I bought the Magic Chef from The Home Depot. I also used the Styrofoam packing from the box to shore up that big black rubber mounted can thingie inside. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Magic-Ch...tainless-Look-ENERGYSTAR-HMBR350SE1/203425045
Good luck I'm sure you'll enjoy it when its all finished. Amen to that I've saved a lot of money that way over the years nothing like walkin by the truckstop restaurant looking at the prices and thinking, they want how much. I've had this one for a couple years fits a weeks worth a frozen meals perfectly crammed but fits.. I love it. It actually draws less power than the old 12v coleman camp cooler it replaced. http://www.blackanddecker.com/product-repository/products/2015/01/31/20/44/bcd33b
Yeah, I'm leaning towards the two door models with more freezer space. I have a thermo electric I keep on the passenger seat for drinks and snack for when I'm flying down the road and don't have to pull over to grab a tea and a snack. With the thermo electric for drinks it frees up a ton of fridge space, and the frozen foods really save the most money.
Ya I've been thinking about getting one of those little fridges for drinks also. And then one of these and doing away with the double door fridge and just having the little one and something like this since all I really use my fridge for anymore is drinks i just need a couple cold and that's it. I eat entirely frozen food out of the truck and only out once or twice a week just to break the monotony. http://m.sears.com/search=sanyo dorm size freezer
I'd want the fridge for meats and cheeses for sammies, and condiments. And salads. Oh no, I need the fridge fo sho. But freeing up all that room for drinks is worth having the thermo elec.
Rigmaster oil change interval for the perkins is 500 hours according to big rig in Gretna. If you go through Gretna or San Antonio frequently, then you'll probably be happy with the rigmaster because Big Rig stocks all the parts & fixes em pretty quick. But I had zero luck with other shops...
5 Did you buy new or used? If used, what did you pay? @Skate-Board are you changing at 500 hrs or just yearly?
