Now that's moving. I typically cover about 750ish miles (1100km) in about 11 to 11.5 hours. I have to drive through 2 national parks so I lose time there in tourist season.

2800 on paper logs legally. You have guys running circles around you with e logs. You're doing something wrong like possibly taking every truck stop exit?

You can get on I25 and basically run 85-90 mph and be at the pace of traffic. The NM State Police usually won't bother you unless you're doing more than 15 over in the high desert.

This thread in some cases could become a touchy (no homo) subject for our brothers out there that are governed.

My company doesn't believe in speed governing. When I first started my boss told me....

"For he who is worthy of employment shall not be held beneath the confines of speed governance, you shall pass your fellow driver with majestic speed and disappear into the horizon of the morning sun."

    By boss is kinda weird.

Being in or around a cmv is not attendance of said vehicle.

Unless you are counting the freight, supervising loading/unloading or doing the loading/unloading yourself you are free to log off duty or sleeper time.

Why are you logging "on duty" when somebody else is doing the work?

Back in my more foolish younger days.... 5,368 miles in 8 days. 3 rounds a month for 16,104. All logs were signed to validate the legal status of the paper they were printed on. Catfish pick in Alabama, 4-5 drops in LA. 4-6 picks at the salad bowl, 1 drop in Ga. Mty home to Ms. About 2 days off, do it again.

Look, if you are proud that you run 15,000 miles, I salute you. Personally I think that is insane.

The guys that allow themselves to be abused like that keep rates per mile low down south for everyone else.

How do you know that we are running cheap because we are running hard? Sounds like your talking out of your ### to me.
