Seriously, what do guys have against them. Out of the three drivers I've been with, only one cared about shower frequency. Are you guys showering? I get it, life on the road, dead lines etc. But personal hygiene has to be part of the trip planning at some point, right?
Should be a daily experience no matter if you are on the road or at home... Some people are just nasty... I feel your pain when I was in training at Prime I had a slob of a trainer...
Laziness,drivers don't wanna spend part of their 10 showering or while on their 14.They should at least use babywipes.
So I'm not crazy. Whew! I was being told not to expect regular showers by some people. My PSD instructor told me to never let anyone tell you there isn't time to eat, sleep, and shower. He also has never been late with a load. I made sure I got all the main discount/reward cards. My Ultraone card was in the mail when I got home. That completes my set! I have the apps as well. The UO app I was able to schedule my shower from the truck, and be notified via phone when it was ready! That was cool. I can't wait to fuel my own truck to rack up all the points and free showers. I shouldn't be that excited about showers.
As a company driver, it might be 3 days out before I fueled up so a daily shower could get expensive. Maybe buy one out of your own pocket and hand the driver the slip? Just a thought.
