That company works for some drivers. One driver went to WE because he had no other choice; had a bad attitude toward the company, but in the end said it was OK after all. I have read they're upgrading their equipment and even adding satellite TV. You won't be obligated, so if it isn't what you want you can leave.

No offense meant to any Western drivers.

    Trucks.

I, like many here, haul big loads, not the biggest, not the heaviest, but nonetheless big and heavy. I spend a lot of time on the 2 lane, and off-road. You can kind of get a feel for the freight by the way they set the trucks up. Quite a few of the bottomfeeders (TMC, Maverick and Melton) run super singles on their rigs. In my line of work, that is LETHAL. If you're running lumber yards and steel mills, I guess it's okay. But in my line of work, it is unbelievably stupid. Western however, runs those stupid winglets that the bottomfeeder van trucks do. It's like they bought all the excess Schneider trucks and put headache racks on them.

    Drivers training.

I've met drivers from TMC. I met drivers from Maverick. I've met drivers from Boyd, BTC and McElroy. WE takes the drivers who couldn't make the grade at the bottomfeeder level.

Long story short, WE is one of those places that you go because no one else will take you.

    This is so mindless.

Does anyone need a recommendation to go to any of the majority of the junk companies mentioned??? Its like a broken flipping record. Go to TMC, WE, Roehl, Decker, Maverick, Boyd, Swift, Schneider, blah, blah, blah........ Why in Gods name would anyone subject themselves to this brain damage????????

Get off of your butt and away from a keyboard and find a decent company to work for. You can do a search on this site and its the same garbage companies mentioned over and over and over.

If it was that simple, this forum wouldn't have any members. Not everyone wants a one truck mom&pop outfit. I hate the color red and won't drive a red truck unless it's a last resort, but that doesn't mean everyone else that likes red is wrong; it just means they like the color red.

I'll add one more thing it really is that simple. You do not have to work for one of the mega garbage companies that so many like Chinatown push. There are so many good companies out there that are fair, pay a fair wage and will treat you like a human being.

I often times wonder wha the agenda is with a few people here. Makes a guy wonder........
